"The instructor was pleasant and willing to answer any questions. Sharing his own experiences in using the Project program was most helpful. Practical examples and applications were great."

GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

General Questions

Who are the courses intended for?
The NCSBI focuses both on small businesses and people who wish to develop their skills and marketability, whether employed in a large or small business. Our charter from the Department of Labor allows us to reach a broad audience with the goal to increase business and personal potential.

How would I benefit from taking these courses?
Owners and managers of small businesses will benefit by learning how the government procurement game is played and who they need to know to get those lucrative opportunities. Individuals thinking of starting a business as well as those already in business can also benefit from the courses offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Florida Department of Revenue, and the Internal Revenue Service. Employees develop or enhance their skills with training based on real-world examples and hands-on exercises.

How much do they cost?
All courses are free of charge. This could change at a later date so early registration for courses would be a smart move.

I am very busy. How can I fit these courses into my schedule?
The NCSBI has carefully surveyed the needs of the business community, and, as a result, developed most courses to last no more than a few hours.
